Sanibel Plates by Mud Pie - Stunning Seashell Dinnerware!

These are my favorite plates in the world.... I love love love them! Part of the Sanibel collection by Mud Pie, the plates have so many coordinating pieces, each lovlier than the next. What I love most is that the colors are minimal - just a hint with mostly gleaming clean whites, with all of the emphasis on the detailed texture and relief pattern instead. Beach cottage chic with a touch of sophistication!

Each piece in the Sanibel collection is quite different but have common elements that make them coordinate so well. You create the most exquisite table with no cookie cutter matchy matchy! I love the transparency of the glazes that reveal the terracotta underglaze on all the seashell relief which is far prettier in person than in the photo....

This is always a favorite line to give at beach theme or coastal couple weddings because it is so gorgeous! It is a popular nautical gift. With so many fabulous entertaining pieces, everyday pieces, and smaller accessory pieces, you can really give a special gift that you will be remembered for. Get the plates shown here ($64 for a set of 4) and the rest of the collection from the Seafarer Gift Shop in Sayville, NY or click the link to see the collection online.

Great Beach Wedding Idea!

Ah, springy weather brings out the brides.... Here's a simple way to dress up and "beach-ify" this wedding! It doesn't even have to be outside at the beach. Note the small pile of shells at the end of each row on the ground....

BOYS NAVY NAUTICAL ROOM

A great classy nautical room!! You can do this, it is mostly just paint. Note the bold navy stripes set the tone of the room, then the accessories are just pillow shams, a life preserver, and a boat model... And did you notice the subtle racing theme with the silver urn trophy? Love it!

Dream Office and Studio

I am gathering ideas for my new basement home office / art studio. Feast your eyes! Green and white seems to be my thing I guess - funny how that avacado green that I hated in my childhood looks so scrumptious when restyled in 2009!

For any of these I would add a ruffled clam, a few shells, and a striking piece of coral in the room.

DREAM HOME OFFICES & STUDIOS

This one is my fav! I would take out the bust lamp and do a seashell or coral lamp. I adore the nailhead trim around the message board - I'd cover corkboard with burlap for the texture and add a ruffled clamshell and a coral specimen. Isn't the rolling library ladder fabulous?

Pretty Beach Decor Ideas...

Here are some pretty beach decor ideas to inspire you! Some favorites I found this week are: We carry this mermaid above and tapestry below in the store.

Love these tassels and seeking the manufacturer so I can offer them to you!

This gorgeous silk dress has two different coral tone designs on blue - the jewelry makes the dress - which is a Lilly Pulitzer. Love it!

I have an obsession with galvanized buckets and tins. This is decoupaged, and what a gorgeous shabby cottage chic colors!

I adore these tassles! Same as above....

This chair to the left - love it! A touch of woven cane, wicker, or seagrass to any room can add a coastal element. I'd add A gorgous piece of coral to the table.

Ruffled clam shells are wonderful, here's a great idea!
